Problem restarting PostgreSQL

Hi,

Due to failure that happens to AWS server last weekend, for some reason my PostgreSQL is not running anymore. Any ideas on how to restart the service?? I’ve tried to hard-reboot the server, but the server didn’t start. One thing that I’ve noticed is, on my webapp server the database address variable was wrong. I’ve manually updated the IP Address but as the postgres services is not running still can’t connect to the database.

When I try to connect to the db server I got this output: “psql: could not connect to server: No such file or directory Is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket “/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432”?”
