I’m currently in the following situation:
I have a large number of apps to deploy, each of which should be on multiple servers for redundancy, however my servers are not big enough to run every single app.
I therefore need to deploy a subset of the apps to each server, such that each app is on multiple servers but the number of apps on each server is limited. The load balancers would have to be updated accordingly, and the balancer members (app servers) would be different for each app.
All apps share a large external database.
It’s becoming quite a logistical headache, and I came across Cloud66 whilst looking for a solution. Is this something that can be done automatically with cloud66?
I.e., I want to give it N different apps (N large), and say I want each of the apps on R servers, but each server can have a maximum of X apps on it each. More apps will be added in the future, and R and X may change depending on the app.
Is this something that can be done automatically with cloud66? If not, how far will your systems go to help this problem?
